Dornier 328 Turbo Prop Freighter Conversion STC Flight Test
We are proud to announce the completion of all certification flight test related to a first of type passenger to freighter conversion STC on a Do 328-120 Turbo Prop.
On February 28th with multiple FAA DER’s present, we put the aircraft through its paces with our final in flight smoke penetration and detection TIA acceptance testing.
The aircraft passed with flying colors proving the safety of the design. The heavy check completion, freighter conversion, and STC approval process on the European bank owned
aircraft has been managed and performed by CV since 2010. The removal of passenger seats, overhead bins and lavatory netted over 1700 lbs of weight savings for the new
freighter with 7 netted bays. Other upgrades include installation of EGPWS and 406 Mhz ELT.
Additionally, the 328 Freighter received fresh heavy checks and landing gear overhauls. We are looking forward to assisting with a quick placement of the aircraft and the STC
for the bank.

MyAirLease.com FleetStatus data from Collateral Verifications
We are pleased to announce that Collateral Verifications is now the provider of Used Prices and Monthly Lease Rates for the FleetStatus section of Myairlease.com.
FleetStatus started as a small database back in April 2009 providing only orders, deliveries and list prices of commercial aircraft.
In September 2009, the content was greatly expanded by adding used prices and monthly lease rates (provided by AVAC). In February 2011, the numbers of stored, written-off and scrapped
aircraft were posted as publihsed by airlinerlist.com.
As of today, Collateral Verifications will provide Used Prices and Monthly Lease Rates and will update them in January, May and September of every year. This data is based on the latest edition of the Turbine Aircraft Guide which is published by Collateral Verifications and provides the following for various commercial jet aircraft:
1. Current and future values for each year of manufacture.
2. Monthly lease rates for each year of manufacture.
3. Expected maintenance costs for each aircraft type.

Podcast - Big Fleet Moves
The news this week that India's IndiGo had singed an MOU for 180 A320s was a great opening shot for aircraft orders in 2011. This was followed yesterday with news that Delta Air Lines has an RFP out for between 100-200 single aisle planes and up to 200 options. Delta is looking at replacing three airplanes; the DC9-50s, A320s and 757-200s. Together this represents at least 270 aircraft. The impact of such an order is clearly little short of massive to the OEMs who have been waiting for the replacement orders to come from the legacy US carriers.
